MyMuse, a D2C intimacy brand, successfully secures funding in its pre-Series A round.

Direct-to-consumer intimacy brand MyMuse has secured $2.7 million in a mix of debt and equity financing round (pre-Series A) led by Saama Capital along with participation from Sauce VC, Whiteboard Capital, Trifecta Capital and Kunal Shah.

The Mumbai-based company had previously raised $1.2 million in a seed round in August 2022 led by Saama Capital and participated by Sauce VC, Whiteboard Capital, Mohit and Malika Sadanni, Varun Sadana and others.

The fresh proceeds will be used to finance inventory, strengthen its omni-channel presence, scale its distribution operation across India and enhance portfolio and brand awareness, MyMuse said in a press release.

Co-founded in 2021 by Sahil and Anushka Gupta, MyMuse is a gender-neutral brand dedicated to sexual wellness and offers products such as body massagers, lubricants, oils, couple games, gift kits, and relatable content. Apart from its website, the company also leverages third-party marketplace for distribution such as Amazon, Nykaa, Zepto and others.

MyMuse claims to have seen growth of 15% month-on-month and served more than 150,000 customers across over 800 cities across tier I, II,and III markets.

The other notable players in this space are Bold Care, ThatMate, Janani, Mosaic Wellness, and Gynoveda.
