After months of disruption, the Mumbai Monorail is finally preparing to return this time with upgraded systems, improved safety, and renewed focus on reliability. The service, which has been suspended since September 2025, is now nearing a relaunch following a comprehensive modernization drive.

Why the Monorail Was Shut Down

Operations were halted on September 20, 2025, after multiple technical failures, including mid-journey breakdowns that raised serious safety concerns.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) decided to suspend services entirely rather than continue with patchwork fixes.

This pause allowed authorities to rethink the system from the ground up—focusing on long-term reliability instead of short-term repairs.

What Has Changed: Technology & Safety Upgrades

The monorail is not just restarting—it’s being rebuilt with modern systems. Key upgrades include:

New rolling stock (train sets) to replace aging rakes

CBTC-based signalling system for better control and safety

Fleet refurbishment and system overhaul across operations

Importantly, the upgraded system has already received certification from an independent safety assessor, Bureau Veritas, ensuring it meets required safety standards.

A final clearance from railway safety authorities is expected before full operations resume.

When Will Services Resume?

While an exact date is yet to be officially announced, reports suggest the monorail could return around April–May 2026, once all safety approvals are in place.

Trial runs and testing are currently underway, indicating that the system is in its final readiness phase.

Route & Connectivity: Why It Still Matters

The Mumbai Monorail runs from Chembur to Sant Gadge Maharaj Chowk, covering around 19.5 km and connecting key parts of eastern and central Mumbai.

Despite earlier criticism for poor integration, authorities are now focusing on improving connectivity—especially linking it with upcoming metro lines like Metro Line 2B to increase ridership.

Better integration could finally unlock the system’s potential as a feeder network.

Can the Monorail Win Back Public Trust?

The biggest challenge isn’t technology—it’s perception.

The monorail has long been labeled as underutilized and unreliable, with frequent breakdowns and low passenger numbers. But this relaunch offers a chance to reset that narrative.

If the upgraded system delivers:

Consistent performance

Better frequency

Seamless connectivity

…it could finally become a meaningful part of Mumbai’s public transport ecosystem.

The Bigger Picture

Mumbai is rapidly expanding its metro network, but last-mile connectivity remains a challenge.

The monorail—if fixed properly—can play a crucial supporting role by connecting dense urban pockets that metros may not directly serve.

A Second Chance for Mumbai’s Monorail

This isn’t just a restart—it’s a reboot.

After years of setbacks, the Mumbai Monorail is getting a rare second chance. Whether it succeeds this time will depend on one thing:
consistent performance, not promises.

Summary

Mumbai Monorail is set to resume operations after being shut since September 2025 due to technical failures. Upgraded with new trains, CBTC signalling, and safety certifications, services may restart by April–May 2026. The relaunch aims to improve reliability and integration with metro lines, giving the monorail a second chance to become a key part of Mumbai’s transport system.

TCS Nashik HR head, Nida Khan, who remains on the run after the alleged sex scandal and forced conversion racket surfaced, is actually employed as a telecaller with the company, sources told Business Today, India Today’s sister site.

The case has shocked the nation, with complaints alleging that the accused worked as a gang, primarily targeting women employees aged between 18 and 25. So far, nine FIRs, including one by a male employee, who has claimed religious harassment and attempted conversion. The complaints include abuse of Hindu deities, forced consumption of non-vegetarian food items, religious harassment and coercion, and pressure to follow specific religious practices, among others.

Eight people have been arrested so far, including seven men – Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansar and Shahrukh Sheikh – and one woman.

Police said that some of these accused held higher designations in the company and allegedly misused their roles to harass co-workers. An officer alleged that Nida Khan discouraged a woman employee from filing a complaint, telling her that such “things happen”.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that operations at the unit were temporarily suspended, with employees instructed to work from home until further notice.

However, sources told Business Today that the office remained operational on Thursday, with around 60 employees reporting to work. The office has neither been sealed nor shut, and employees have been given the discretion to work either from home or from the office.

When asked about a rise in sexual harassment complaints in TCS’s annual disclosures since 2021, the sources said that the increase is linked to improvements in internal systems and processes introduced in recent years, particularly measures aimed at creating a safer environment for women employees. These initiatives, they said, have led to greater awareness among employees and a higher likelihood of formally reporting complaints under the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) framework.

The sources indicated that the trend reflects growing confidence in grievance redressal mechanisms and better accessibility of reporting channels, rather than a proportional rise in incidents of misconduct.

They added that continued focus on sensitisation programmes and employee training has strengthened the internal reporting ecosystem, enabling employees to raise concerns more comfortably through formal channels.

The Karnataka government plans to ban social media use for children under 16, amid rising concerns over smartphone addiction, online safety risks, and excessive screen exposure among young users. The announcement was made by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while he was presenting the 2026–27 state Budget on Friday.
Karnataka will ban social media for children below the age of 16 years, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Friday. The ban on social media is aimed at preventing adverse effects of increasing mobile usage on children, CM Siddaramaiah said while presenting the annual state Budget.

The move makes Karnataka the first state in the country to make the most definitive announcement on the topic of barring social media use among children. Andhra Pradesh and Goa are two other states to have previously said that they are considering similar moves.

GOVERNMENT HAD BEEN DISCUSSING THE IDEA EARLIER

The idea of regulating children’s access to social media had been under discussion within the Karnataka government for some time.

State IT and Biotechnology Minister Priyank Kharge had told the Assembly earlier this year that the government was examining possible measures to ensure responsible use of artificial intelligence and social media among young users.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao had also expressed concerns about the impact of excessive screen exposure on children.

BJP MLA and former minister Suresh Kumar had urged the government to take the issue seriously, warning that unregulated social media exposure could harm both education and family environments.

The Chief Minister had also earlier discussed the issue with university vice chancellors, seeking their views on whether mobile phones should be restricted for children under 16.

GLOBAL DEBATE ON SOCIAL MEDIA RESTRICTIONS

Karnataka’s move comes amid a growing global debate on regulating children’s access to social media.

Several countries have already begun experimenting with restrictions. Australia has introduced strict measures limiting social media access for younger users, while the United Kingdom and Finland have also been discussing similar safeguards.

In parts of Europe, including France and Spain, schools have imposed limits on smartphone use in classrooms to reduce distraction and improve student focus.

These discussions reflect rising global concern over the impact of social media algorithms, screen addiction and online risks on young users.

WHY BANNING SOCIAL MEDIA IS NOT A SIMPLE SOLUTION

However, experts say regulating children’s digital exposure is far more complicated than simply imposing bans.

India’s Economic Survey 2025–26 has already flagged excessive smartphone use among young people as a growing concern, linking it to sleep problems, anxiety, reduced attention spans and academic stress.

But addiction is only one layer of the problem.

Cybersecurity experts warn that children and teenagers often share personal information online without fully understanding privacy risks. Social media platforms, games and apps can collect location data, behavioural patterns, voice samples and browsing habits, creating detailed digital footprints that may later be misused for surveillance, identity theft or targeted manipulation.

Another growing concern is online grooming. Law enforcement agencies across countries have repeatedly warned that predators increasingly use social media, gaming chats and messaging platforms to build trust with minors before exploiting them. Such interactions can continue for months without parents or teachers noticing.

Artificial intelligence has added a new dimension to these risks. AI-powered chatbots and recommendation algorithms can keep children engaged for long periods while also collecting sensitive behavioural data. In some cases, experts say such systems may unintentionally expose minors to harmful content or enable new forms of manipulation.

At the same time, technology is not only a source of risk. For many young people, social media and digital platforms also provide access to learning resources, coding communities, creative opportunities and even early entrepreneurial ventures.

Because of this dual nature, experts say blanket bans may be difficult to enforce and could push young users towards unregulated platforms, virtual private networks (VPNs) or hidden accounts that are harder for parents and authorities to monitor.

Many policymakers are therefore exploring a middle path — combining age-based safeguards, stronger privacy protections, parental controls and digital literacy programmes rather than relying solely on prohibitions.

As Karnataka moves ahead with its proposed restrictions, the debate reflects a wider global challenge: how to protect children online while still allowing them to benefit from the opportunities of the digital world.

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched coordinated raids early on Friday at 10 to 12 locations in Mumbai and Hyderabad, targeting companies and individuals associated with industrialist Anil Ambani and Reliance Power.

Fifteen ED teams swung into action before dawn, conducting searches against persons linked to the power utility firm amid allegations of money laundering.

A source has confirmed the operations focused on premises in Mumbai and Hyderabad, though specific addresses were not disclosed to avoid compromising the probe.

The raids were conducted days after the ED provisionally attached Anil Ambani’s Mumbai residence, ‘Abode’, located in the posh Pali Hill area. The property is valued at Rs 3,716.83 crore.

A day after the attachment, Ambani appeared before the ED on February 26 for a second round of questioning in connection with an alleged bank fraud-linked money-laundering case.

New Delhi: In its first official reaction to the controversy surrounding Galgotias University and the robotic dog exhibited by it at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in Delhi, the Centre has said it wants “genuine and actual work” displayed and does not want to encourage misinformation.

The university, located in Greater Noida, has been mocked relentlessly on social media after Neha Singh, a professor of communications, said in an interview to DD News that a robotic dog that was displayed in the pavilion was developed by the “centre of excellences” (sic) at the institution. It quickly emerged that the robodog, which Singh had called “Orion”, was the Unitree Go2, developed by China’s Unitree Robotics.

Singh later blamed miscommunication for the entire episode.

“The controversy happened because things may not have been expressed clearly. I take accountability that perhaps I did not communicate properly, as it was done with a lot of energy and enthusiasm and very quickly, in a jiffy, so I may not have come across as very eloquent, which is a rare case,” she told news agency PTI on Wednesday.

“Also, the intent may not have been properly understood. One important thing is that the robodog clearly has its branding on top, we have not changed that. So, how can we claim that we manufactured it? I have told everyone that we introduced it to our students to inspire them to create something better on their own,” she said.

Pressed by another reporter on the issue, Singh reiterated that she may have been misinterpreted, saying, “Your six can be my nine.” That last statement took on a life of its own, being used by several social media users to criticise the professor and the university.

The organisers of the Summit asked Galgotias University to clear the pavilion, and it did so.

Asked about the controversy on Wednesday, S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), said the ministry wanted genuine work reflected and a code followed.

“We want genuine and actual work to be reflected in the way that people exhibit in expos. The idea is not to sort of use this as an opportunity in any other fashion. So we don’t want a controversy around exhibits which are presented here. I think it’s essential that a set code is followed there. Misinformation cannot be encouraged. We don’t want a controversy around this, around exhibits in the expo. I am not getting into whether they are right or wrong, we just don’t want a controversy,” he said.

Asked whether the ministry had not checked how models were being developed, Krishnan said the exhibit was not for sale.

“These are not things which are intended for sale, or where we have to standardise and certify. Certification happens if it is meant for public distribution or sale. When somebody is demonstrating a product, you presume that they know what they are talking about. If we have to certify even what has to be exhibited, then you’ll say we are stifling innovation. Our intention is not to stifle innovation,” he asserted.

University’s Apology

Blaming Singh for the fiasco, the university said she was “ill-informed” and was not authorised to speak to the media.

“We at Galgotias University, wish to apologise profusely for the confusion created at the recent Al Summit. One of our representatives, manning the pavilion, was ill-informed. She was not aware of the technical origins of the product and in her enthusiasm of being on camera, gave factually incorrect information even though she was not authorised to speak to the press,” the institute said in a statement.

The university insisted there was no intent to misrepresent the innovation and that it remains committed to “academic integrity, transparency, and responsible representation” of its work.

It also confirmed that it had vacated the pavilion.

New Delhi: Robotics and automation firm Addverb, backed by Reliance Group, expects to close the current financial year with revenues of ₹800 crore, as it accelerates investments in advanced robotics and artificial intelligence.

The company estimates that the inclusion of humanoid robots in its product portfolio will help drive a 20 per cent increase in revenue in the next financial year, reflecting growing demand for intelligent automation across industrial sectors.

On Thursday, Addverb unveiled Elixis-W, a Made-in-India wheeled humanoid robot, at an industry exhibition. The robot has been designed for industrial use, with a focus on enabling autonomous operations in dynamic and unstructured environments.

Confirming the outlook, Sangeet Kumar, co-founder and chief executive officer of Addverb, said the company remains confident of meeting its revenue target for the current fiscal year.

“Next financial year, we are looking at a 20 per cent increase in revenue with respect to the inclusion of wheeled humanoids,” Kumar told Press Trust of India.

According to the company, Elixis-W represents a shift beyond conventional automation systems, allowing robots to operate autonomously while collaborating safely with human workers across complex shopfloor operations. Unlike fixed robotic arms or automated guided vehicles, the wheeled humanoid is designed for greater flexibility and mobility.

Addverb said the robot is powered by Physical AI and built with industrial-grade reliability, enabling deployment across manufacturing units, warehouses and logistics facilities. The company believes such systems can help improve productivity, enhance workplace safety and address workforce constraints.

“Built with Physical AI and industrial-grade reliability, this wheeled humanoid embodies our vision of practical and scalable automation that enhances safety, productivity and collaboration on the shopfloor,” Kumar said.

The launch comes amid rising adoption of automation and robotics in India’s manufacturing and logistics sectors, driven by efficiency pressures and global supply-chain realignments. With humanoid robotics now part of its portfolio, Addverb aims to strengthen its position in the fast-evolving industrial automation market, both domestically and overseas.

Mukesh Ambani — India’s best-known industrialist — has spent four decades expanding a family business into a sprawling, diversified conglomerate. Today the baton is being steadily passed to his three children, each of whom runs distinct parts of the Reliance ecosystem and is positioning the group for the next era of growth: digital services, retail, and green energy. This article profiles the patriarch, his three children, the businesses they lead, and what their roles mean for succession and India’s corporate landscape.

The patriarch and the empire

Mukesh Ambani transformed the company founded by Dhirubhai Ambani into a conglomerate spanning petrochemicals, refining, telecommunications, retail, and new energy. Under his leadership, Reliance expanded from oil-to-chemicals into consumer-facing digital and retail services that now rank among India’s largest companies by market value and revenue.

Akash Ambani — telecom, platforms, and digital services

Akash Ambani (the elder twin) has been entrusted with Reliance’s telecom and digital businesses. He serves as Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited and sits on Jio Platforms’ board — the units that drove Reliance’s rapid consumer-scale digital push with affordable mobile data, streaming, and app ecosystems. Akash’s remit centers on scaling 5G, consumer digital services, and integrating technology into retail and media partnerships that expand Jio’s ecosystem play.

What he runs (high level): Reliance Jio and related digital platforms — core to the group’s strategy of building a large, monetizable consumer base through connectivity and services.

Isha Ambani — retail, consumer brands, and customer experience

Isha Ambani heads Reliance’s retail and consumer-facing strategy. Over the past several years she has driven expansion across groceries, consumer electronics, fashion, and online channels, positioning Reliance Retail as India’s dominant retail network by scale and revenue. Isha has been a key architect of omnichannel moves — bringing together physical stores and e-commerce — and has championed initiatives on customer experience, brand partnerships, and digital retail formats.

What she runs (high level): Reliance Retail’s expansion into new categories, Ajio and other e-commerce formats, and initiatives to modernize the group’s consumer offerings.

Anant Ambani — energy transition and sustainability

Anant Ambani (the youngest) is leading Reliance’s push into renewable energy and sustainability through Reliance New Energy and related initiatives. Anant’s portfolio focuses on large-scale green fuels and materials, carbon capture, and building the industrial capabilities necessary for a net-carbon-zero roadmap the group has articulated. He is also taking on broader responsibilities across energy and materials businesses as Reliance seeks to pivot from traditional hydrocarbons to cleaner alternatives.

What he runs (high level): Reliance New Energy and green-energy projects that aim to transform Reliance’s core energy and materials footprint.

Governance, succession and a mapped division of duties

Reliance’s approach to succession has been methodical: the next generation was gradually embedded into the business via directorships and leadership roles aligned to distinct pillars of the company — digital (Akash), retail (Isha), and energy (Anant). This demarcation reduces overlap, clarifies investor expectations, and creates clear P&L owners for major growth engines. Public filings and company statements reflect this deliberate delegation of responsibilities.

Philanthropy and public roles

The Ambani family’s non-profit wing, the Reliance Foundation, spearheaded by Nita Ambani, remains a high-profile vehicle for education, health and community work. The children also engage in philanthropic and cultural initiatives — often tying social programs to corporate sustainability and brand-building strategies.

Public scrutiny and controversies

High visibility brings scrutiny. In recent years, projects associated with the family and the Reliance Foundation have faced public and legal scrutiny — including inquiries connected to wildlife and regulatory compliance linked to initiatives overseen by family members. Reliance has regularly stated its intent to cooperate with investigations and compliance processes. Such episodes highlight the reputational risks that accompany large philanthropic and industrial undertakings.

What this means for India’s corporate landscape

The Ambani succession illustrates a few broader trends in India: family-led conglomerates professionalizing leadership while keeping ownership concentrated; younger scions mixing global education with high-stakes corporate roles; and legacy energy businesses pivoting toward digital and green agendas. For investors and policymakers, the clear allocation of responsibilities reduces ambiguity — but it also places pressure on the next generation to deliver distinct, measurable outcomes in highly competitive sectors.

India and the European Union on Tuesday announced the conclusion of the long-awaited India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA), marking a historic milestone in bilateral relations between two of the world’s largest economies. The announcement was made at the 16th India-EU Summit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the visit of European leaders to India.

The agreement positions India, the world’s fourth-largest economy, and the European Union, the second-largest economy, as trusted global trade partners, together accounting for 25 per cent of global GDP and nearly one-third of global trade. The Ministry of Commerce & Industry said the FTA lays the foundation for inclusive, resilient, and future-ready growth while strengthening global supply chains.

A key feature of the agreement is the unprecedented market access granted to Indian exporters, with over 99 per cent of Indian exports by value receiving preferential entry into the EU. This is expected to significantly boost India’s export competitiveness, particularly in labour-intensive sectors such as textiles, apparel, leather, footwear, marine products, gems and jewellery, handicrafts, engineering goods, and automobiles.

According to official estimates, exports worth USD 75.85 billion (INR 6.4 lakh crore) are poised for accelerated growth, including nearly USD 33 billion in labour-intensive sectors where tariffs of up to 10 per cent will be eliminated upon the agreement’s entry into force. The FTA is also expected to create employment opportunities for women, artisans, youth, MSMEs, and professionals.

The agreement includes a carefully calibrated approach to automobile liberalisation through a quota-based system, enabling EU manufacturers to introduce high-end models in India while promoting future Make in India manufacturing and export opportunities. Reciprocal access will also allow Indian-made automobiles to enter EU markets.

India has safeguarded sensitive sectors, particularly agriculture and dairy, ensuring no market access for products such as dairy, cereals, poultry, soymeal, and certain fruits and vegetables. At the same time, favourable access has been secured for agricultural and processed food exports including tea, coffee, spices, fresh fruits, vegetables, and processed foods, strengthening rural livelihoods.

Services, a dominant and fast-growing component of both economies, receive significant emphasis in the FTA. India has secured commercially meaningful access across 144 EU service subsectors, including IT and IT-enabled services, professional services, education, financial services, tourism, construction, and business services. The EU, in turn, gains access to 102 service subsectors in India.

The agreement also establishes a future-ready mobility framework, providing predictable pathways for the temporary movement of skilled and semi-skilled professionals. Provisions cover intra-corporate transferees, business visitors, contractual service suppliers, and independent professionals, along with entry and work rights for dependents. Frameworks supporting student mobility, post-study work opportunities, and future social security agreements have also been included.

Beyond tariff liberalisation, the FTA introduces mechanisms to address non-tariff barriers, enhance regulatory cooperation, streamline customs procedures, and strengthen sanitary and phytosanitary standards. Provisions related to the EU’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) include assurances on flexibility, technical cooperation, recognition of carbon pricing mechanisms, and financial assistance to support India’s transition towards lower emissions.

The agreement reinforces intellectual property protections under the TRIPS framework, recognises the importance of India’s Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL), and affirms commitments under the Doha Declaration. It also opens avenues for cooperation in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, clean technologies, and semiconductors.

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal described the agreement as a defining achievement in India’s global economic engagement, stating that it goes beyond a conventional trade deal to represent a comprehensive strategic partnership. He said the FTA would boost exports, strengthen the Make in India initiative, enhance mobility for Indian professionals, and integrate Indian businesses more deeply into global value chains.

The European Union remains one of India’s largest trading partners. In 2024-25, bilateral trade in goods stood at USD 136.54 billion, while trade in services reached USD 83.1 billion. The Ministry said the integration of two large, complementary economies would create unprecedented trade and investment opportunities.

The India-EU FTA becomes India’s 22nd free trade agreement and, along with recent FTAs with the UK and EFTA, effectively opens the entire European market to Indian exporters and entrepreneurs. The government noted that since 2014, India has signed trade agreements with Mauritius, UAE, Australia, Oman, the UK, EFTA, and announced the conclusion of a trade deal with New Zealand.

Aligned with the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047,” the India–EU FTA marks a new chapter in bilateral economic engagement, reinforcing shared values, fostering innovation, and positioning India as a dynamic and trusted partner in the global trading system.

DMK MP and party’s Deputy General Secretary Kanimozhi on Thursday accused the Centre of ‘imposing’ Hindi in Tamil Nadu after sharing a photo of a Chennai railway station nameboard that she said had been “changed from English to Hindi”.

Posting on X, Kanimozhi wrote, “It started in Kallakudi and continues to Chennai Park. They are not going to stop imposing it, and we are not going to stop opposing it”.

Along with the post, she shared an image of the Park Town suburban railway station board near Chennai’s MGR Central, objecting to what she described as the replacement of predominantly English signage with Hindi.

Kanimozhi’s remarks came amid renewed tensions between the DMK and the Union government over language policy. The party has repeatedly alleged that the Centre is pushing Hindi in non-Hindi-speaking states through administrative changes and education policy.

Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin reiterated that there was “no place” for Hindi in the southern state.

Speaking on Language Martyrs Day, Stalin recalled Tamil Nadu’s historic resistance to Hindi imposition and said the state had “unitedly struggled against Hindi every time it was imposed”.

“A state that loved its language like its life, unitedly struggled against Hindi imposition; protested with the same intensity every time it was imposed. There is no place for Hindi then, now and forever (in Tamil Nadu). I pay my grateful respects to those martyrs who gave their precious lives for Tamil. No more lives will be lost in the language war; our love for Tamil will never die! We shall oppose Hindi imposition forever,” Stalin had said in a social media post.

Tamil Nadu follows the two-language formula of Tamil and English. The DMK has also accused the Centre of promoting Hindi through the National Education Policy 2020 and other administrative measures, a charge the ruling party said threatens the state’s linguistic autonomy.

Mumbai: Sunetra Pawar is set to take oath as Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister in the evening today, following the tragic death of her husband and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar in a plane crash earlier this week. With this, she will become the first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, marking a historic moment in the state’s politics.

Who is Sunetra Pawar?

Sunetra Pawar is a Member of the Rajya Sabha in Parliament and a prominent public figure in Maharashtra. She is the daughter-in-law of Sharad Pawar, the wife of the late Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and the mother of Parth and Jay Pawar.

While her political connections are well known, Sunetra Pawar has built an independent identity as a social worker and business leader, with a strong focus on education, environment, and community development.

Sunetra Pawar’s early life

Born in 1963 in Dharashiv, Sunetra Pawar comes from a family with deep political roots, even before her marriage into the Pawar family. Her father, Bajirao Patil, was a senior regional leader, while her brother, Padamsinh Bajirao Patil, was an influential district-level politician in the 1980s.

She grew up in an environment where public service and politics were a part of everyday life. Sunetra Pawar holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from SB College, Aurangabad.

Sunetra Pawar as social leader, entrepreneur

Sunetra Pawar has played a key role in managing large-scale industrial and educational institutions. She has been closely associated with the Baramati High-Tech Textile Park, where she took part in decision-making related to production, investment, employment generation, and women’s empowerment.
