“Dukaan” is based in the real world of commercial surrogacy in Gujarat.
Dukaan is the story of a fiery feisty commercial surrogate ‘Jasmine Patel‘ who was never attached to children, not even her own… but runs away 9 months pregnant, with a child that she was meant to bear for a couple. A love like she felt never before, a deep-seated cry for motherhood, the pre-delivery pang of separation from the baby that sprouts from within and surpasses all contracts/laws, commitments and commercials. The story is about the rights and the wrongs of it!
