Extended reality (XR) startup Metadome.ai (formerly known as Adloid) has secured $6.5 million in Series A funding through a mix of equity and debt. The round was led by Siana Capital and existing investor Chiratae Ventures, with additional participation from new investors Alteria Capital, 3to-1 Capital, and Manish Choksi’s family office.

According to a company press release, Metadome.ai plans to utilize the investment to expand its operations into new regions and to further develop its capabilities in advanced XR technologies integrated with AI.

This new funding will support Metadome.ai’s efforts to strengthen its presence in key markets, including the US, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.

Back in December 2021, the Gurugram-based startup raised $4 million in a pre-Series A round, which was also led by Chiratae Ventures.

Founded in 2016 by Kanav Singla, Shorya Mahajan, and Kartik Kanaujia, Metadome.ai specializes in using virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for sales enablement across sectors like home decor, e-commerce, and mobility. The company has a client roster that includes major names like Hewlett Packard (HP), Tata Motors, Hero MotoCorp, and Asian Paints.

Metadome.ai has experienced organic growth since its inception, with its customer base more than doubling over the past year, as noted in the press release.

Recently, the company partnered with Hippo Homes to launch a virtual reality experience at their new store in Greater Noida, allowing customers to explore home improvement solutions through an immersive experience.

The extended reality industry has been attracting significant investment globally, with $1.9 billion poured into the space, according to a Statista report. This underscores the growing importance of 3D, AR, and VR in enhancing the customer buying journey and post-sales experience.

Metadome.ai is also part of NVIDIA’s Inception program and Google’s Startup program. Other emerging companies in India’s XR space include SmartVizX, Liminal, Embright Infotech, Scapic, and GMetri.
