Women’s wellness and hygiene brand Nua has raised Rs 35 crore in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust. The round also saw participation from investors, including Samir Singh and Shuchi Kothari.

The Mumbai-based company has raised $21.5 million so far (including the current round) from its existing investors, including Lightbox VC, Kae Capital, actress Deepika Padukone, and Vindi Banga.

The proceeds will be utilized for retail expansion and the introduction of new products across key channels such as marketplaces, quick commerce, and offline retail, Nua stated in a press release.

Co-founded in in 2017 by Abhishek Ramanathan and Ravi Ramachandran, Nua is a digital-first women’s wellness company focused on developing holistic and personalized solutions for real challenges women face. Beginning with innovative, toxin-free sanitary pads, the company has since expanded its product range to include period panties, intimate hygiene products, cramp-care solutions, postpartum care, and products for managing cyclical acne.

Nua prioritizes creating a superior and holistic experience for women by offering safe, high-quality products, engaging content, and fostering a strong community—key factors that have helped differentiate it in a rapidly growing market. The company will continue investing in new products, content, and emerging channels to accelerate its momentum over the next 6–8 quarters.

Over the past 12 months, the company has introduced new product segments emphasizing comfort and toxin-free formulations, including extra-long night pads, disposable period panties, menstrual cups, and postpartum products. Nua’s products are available on its website as well as on various e-commerce platforms such as Zepto, Amazon, and Flipkart.

According to market research, the global feminine hygiene products market is expected to reach approximately $66.7 billion by 2033, up from $31.8 billion in 2023, growing at a CAGR of 7.7% during the forecast period from 2024 to 2033.

Nua claims that it has turned profitable and grown over 2.5x in revenue. It became profitable in Q2, crossed Rs. 100 crore net revenue ARR in Q3 and aspires to reach Rs. 150 crore net revenue ARR in the next quarter.

Nua competes with other notable players in this space, such as Whisper, Stayfree, and Sofy, among others.
