NTPC has planned a ₹80,000 crore investment for a 4,200 MW nuclear power project, marking the beginning of nuclear energy production in Chhattisgarh.

Significant investments have been made in the thermal power sector:

• Adani Power will invest ₹66,720 crore to set up three 1,600 MW thermal power plants in Korba, Raigarh, and Raipur.

• Sarda Energy will establish a 660 MW plant in Raigarh with an investment of ₹5,300 crore.

Chhattisgarh has made significant progress in solar energy:

• Jindal Power and NTPC Green will invest ₹10,000 crore to generate 2,500 MW of solar power, including 500 MW in Dolesara and 2,000 MW in Raigarh.
• Under the PM Kusum Scheme, ₹4,100 crore will be invested to generate 675 MW of solar power and install 20,000 solar pumps, benefiting farmers with cheaper electricity and reducing dependency on diesel pumps.
