WIOM raises Rs 30 Cr in seed round

WIOM, a telecom, and technology-focused startup have raised Rs 30 crore from YourNest, 9Unicorns, and a global tech giant. Few angel investors along with existing investors Omidyar Network India and Auxano have also participated in the round.

WIOM plans to utilize this investment to enhance its product offerings and scales the business.

Founded in 2021 by Satyam Darmora, Nishit Aggarwal, Ashutosh Mishra, Natraj Akella, and Maanas Dwivedi, WIOM is creating a blockchain-based model to create a distributed “Internet Delivery Model” in the country.

WIOM is currently available only in Delhi with plans to expand across regions. To date, over 10,000 WIOM subscribers are consuming affordable internet daily. The startup plans to scale up 25X times in the next 12 months.
