Fashion quick-commerce startup Zulu Club has secured USD 250,000 in pre-seed funding from early-stage venture capital firm TDV Partners. The investment will support the company’s efforts to expand its hyperlocal fashion delivery model and enhance its Try-at-Home shopping experience for urban consumers.

Founded in 2024, Zulu Club is building a hybrid fashion retail platform that bridges the gap between online convenience and offline confidence. Through its app, the company claimed that users can browse collections from nearby malls and outlet stores, receive curated Try-at-Home kits within 100 minutes, and finalise purchases after trying items in the comfort of their homes. The company positions this model as a solution to key challenges faced by traditional fashion e-commerce, including high return rates and poor customer engagement.

Adarsh Bhatia, founder of Zulu Club and former business head at Fashinza, said the startup is focused on bringing trust and experience back into fashion shopping. “Most online fashion platforms are built for speed and variety – but that often comes at the cost of experience and confidence. We are building Zulu Club to reintroduce trust and personalisation, especially for millennials and Gen Z consumers who value convenience and tactile exploration,” he said.

Zulu Club said that it blends AI-powered recommendations with human-assisted personal shopping, creating a more interactive and personalised journey. Its platform allows users to book live product assistance, explore options curated to their style, and place orders either during a call or after a trial. Deliveries are fulfilled in 100 minutes through the company’s dedicated logistics network, offering both instant gratification and flexibility in purchase decisions.

As per the press release, the recent app update brings improvements in user experience, logistics coordination, and overall delivery efficiency. With this funding, Zulu Club plans to extend its footprint across key neighbourhoods in Delhi NCR, enhance its personalisation and trial flows, and strengthen partnerships with local retailers and malls. The team will also invest in backend logistics and customer engagement to support scaling.

Ujwal Sutaria, General Partner at TDV Partners, said the firm sees Zulu Club as addressing a core friction in fashion e-commerce. “Shoppers want to try before they buy. Zulu’s Try-at-Home kits and instant delivery reflect the expectations of mobile-first, experience-driven consumers. This is not just another marketplace—it’s a reinvention of how fashion retail can work in India,” he said.
