Emerging personal care startup Clarity Labs has successfully raised over ₹4 crore in a seed funding round, valuing the company at a pre-money valuation of ₹20 crore. The round was spearheaded by Artha Venture Fund II, with additional backing from a group of angel investors.
According to the company, the newly secured capital will be strategically deployed to accelerate product innovation, broaden its category offerings, and strengthen its omnichannel presence across direct-to-consumer (D2C) platforms, online marketplaces, and quick commerce channels.
Founded in November last year by Karan Dokras, Clarity Labs is building a niche in the crowded personal care space by focusing on functional, easy-to-use skincare solutions tailored for Indian consumers. The brand’s core philosophy revolves around eliminating complexity and offering affordable products that seamlessly integrate into everyday routines.
The Indian personal care industry is often criticized for overwhelming consumers with excessive product choices and complicated regimens, leading to low consistency in usage. Clarity Labs aims to solve this problem by delivering transparent formulations with proven results, making skincare more practical and habit-friendly.
The Gurugram-based startup emphasizes functional hygiene and skincare, targeting common concerns such as acne, tanning, muscle discomfort, and sensitivity. Its product lineup includes specialized solutions like anti-acne soaps, de-tan bars, muscle relief cleansers, and soaps for sensitive skin.
A significant milestone for the brand came in March this year with the launch of its flagship functional soap range, “The BAR.” Since then, Clarity Labs has expanded its footprint across its own website as well as major e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart.
Looking ahead, the company plans to diversify into adjacent categories, including hair wash, body wash, and face wash, while continuing to innovate within its soap segment through new variants and formats.
Operating in a competitive landscape, Clarity Labs faces established and emerging players such as DERMATOUCH, Ghar Soaps, Chemist At Play, and Hoop, all vying for a share of India’s fast-growing personal care market.
With a clear focus on simplicity, transparency, and results-driven skincare, Clarity Labs is positioning itself as a modern solution for everyday personal care needs in India.
