DigitalPaani has raised Rs 22 crore in a funding round led by Navam Capital, with participation from Enzia Ventures, Chakra Growth Capital, 3one4 Capital, Momentum Capital, Achieving Women Entrepreneurs Early Growth Fund, and Echo River Capital.
The fresh funds will be used to expand market penetration across the industrial and municipal sectors, scale operations to serve its growing institutional customer base, and begin international expansion, DigitalPaani said in a press release.
Co-founded in 2020 by Mansi Jain and Rajesh Jain, DigitalPaani provides an operating system for water and wastewater infrastructure. Its platform combines AI-driven insights with real-time asset monitoring to help utilities, municipalities, and enterprises improve water recycling, reduce operational losses, and prevent equipment failures.
According to the Gurugram-based company, its platform analyses real-time operational data against how each asset is designed to operate, identifies inefficiencies and automates actions related to equipment, maintenance, teams, and inventory.
DigitalPaani said it serves more than 95 facilities, treating over 150 million litres of water daily. Its clients include Britannia, Leela Hotels, Tata Group, and Delhi Jal Board. The company said its deployments have helped transform non-compliant plants into fully operational assets while delivering cost savings of up to 25%. Its revenue has grown nearly sixfold over the past two years.
Ubiqedge is another startup operating in the infrastructure digitisation space. It raised Rs 10 crore in a seed round led by Piper Serica in April this year to scale its AIoT platform for infrastructure, including water systems. The company said its technology has digitised more than 23,000 borewells.
Meanwhile, IIT Madras-incubated Solinas Integrity raised $5.5 million in a Series A1 round in August, led by Mela Ventures and Hero Enterprise Family Office. The startup uses robotics and AI to inspect, clean, and digitise underground water, wastewater, and sanitation infrastructure.
