Fashion discovery platform Slayd has raised Rs 1.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by ajvc, an early-stage fund founded by Aviral Bhatnagar.
The round values the startup at around Rs 16.66 crore post-money. Slayd will use the funds to expand its team and scale its private-label business, Slayd Originals.
Founded in 2025 by IIT Roorkee alumni Sparsh Jain, Harsh Porwal and Kumar Prasang, Slayd aggregates fashion products from more than 300 marketplaces and D2C brands. The platform adds around 1 lakh new products every month and uses a proprietary model that evaluates products across more than eight signals to identify emerging trends.
The startup claims to have crossed 200,000 users, with over 40% month-one retention. Its power users average more than 10 sessions per month, while the platform currently identifies over 2,000 products as emerging hotsellers.
Slayd also curates products into theme-based collections and personalised feeds, allowing users to discover products across multiple fashion platforms.
The company has also entered the private-label segment with Slayd Originals, which was launched in beta earlier this year. The brand currently generates around 1,000 orders per month, according to the startup.
“India sees more than 1 lakh new apparel designs launched every month across hundreds of fragmented e-commerce platforms. Yet shoppers still have to navigate multiple platforms to discover what’s actually trending. Slayd is building the discovery layer for this fragmented market,” said cofounder Sparsh Jain.
The startup said its product and trend data is also used to identify styles that could be developed under Slayd Originals.
“Our advantage is that we can identify what shoppers want before building it ourselves. By controlling the design and supply chain, we can bring high-demand styles to customers at better prices, with better quality and a more consistent shopping experience,” said cofounder Harsh Porwal.
With the latest funding, Slayd plans to expand its team and increase the scale of Slayd Originals.
