Natural personal care brand Nat Habit is raising ₹142.6 crore ($15 million) in a Series C funding round led by Trident Growth Partners, with participation from existing investors Bertelsmann, Firstport, Linklight Ventures and others. The company, which has rebranded as Breathe Life, will use the fresh capital to support expansion, brand building and general corporate requirements.
Natural personal care company Nat Habit is raising ₹142.6 crore ($15 million) in a Series C funding round led by Trident Growth Partners, according to regulatory filings accessed from the Registrar of Companies (RoC).
The company’s board is issuing 22.5 lakh Series C preference shares at an issue price of ₹633.5 per share to raise the capital.
Trident Growth Partners is leading the round with an investment of ₹91 crore. Existing investor Bertelsmann will invest ₹37 crore, while Linklight Ventures is contributing ₹6.8 crore. Mirabilis, Firstport and Dharmayug Investments will participate in the round with the remaining investment.
According to the filings, the company plans to deploy the proceeds towards business expansion, brand building, general corporate purposes and other requirements. Approximately ₹2.6 crore from the total proceeds will also be allocated towards reducing the employee stock option plan (ESOP) pool.
According to Entrackr’s estimates, Nat Habit’s post-money valuation stands at approximately ₹800 crore following the funding round. Moneycontrol had reported the company’s fresh fundraising plans in July.
Trident Growth Partners to Acquire 11.44% Stake
Following the fresh share issuance, Trident Growth Partners will hold an 11.44% stake in the company, while Bertelsmann’s shareholding will stand at 17.54%.
Before the latest funding round, co-founders Swagatika Das and Gaurav Agarwal each held a 16% stake in the company, according to the regulatory filing.
The investment brings additional capital into the business as it looks to strengthen its market presence and broaden its positioning in the personal care and lifestyle segments.
Nat Habit Rebrands as Breathe Life
Nat Habit has rebranded itself as Breathe Life, signalling a shift from its earlier positioning as an Ayurvedic personal care brand towards a broader lifestyle proposition.
The company offers personal care products rooted in Ayurvedic formulations, including shampoos, face washes and moisturisers. Its product portfolio targets consumers seeking natural and traditional approaches to everyday personal care.
The rebranding represents a change in how the company positions itself in the market as it continues to develop its consumer brand and expand its reach.
Revenue Crosses ₹100 Crore in FY25
Nat Habit reported revenue from operations of ₹106 crore in FY25, representing year-on-year growth of 47.2%, according to previously reported financial results.
However, the company also reported rising losses. Its losses increased to ₹29 crore during FY25, highlighting the financial challenges that can accompany growth in the competitive direct-to-consumer personal care market.
The company has yet to file its annual financial statements for FY26. Its latest financial performance will provide a clearer picture of revenue growth, operating expenses and progress towards profitability.
What’s Next for Breathe Life?
With ₹142.6 crore in fresh funding and an estimated post-money valuation of ₹800 crore, the company is positioned to invest further in expansion, brand building and its broader business strategy.
The transition from Nat Habit to Breathe Life also marks a new phase in the company’s brand positioning. How effectively it converts its existing customer base into sustained growth under the new identity will be an important factor in its next stage of development.
As competition intensifies across India’s natural personal care and beauty market, the company’s ability to scale revenue while managing losses will remain a key metric to watch.
