Zoho Builds AI-Powered LLM With Speech Recognition

Editor Desk

Zoho has taken a major leap in India’s artificial intelligence ecosystem with the launch of its in-house AI-powered large language model (LLM) Zia LLM. Unveiled on Thursday, the model comes equipped with automatic speech recognition (ASR) capabilities for both English and Hindi, marking a significant step forward in the country’s AI innovation landscape.

Built entirely on NVIDIA’s AI-accelerated computing platform, Zoho’s Zia LLM is tailored for enterprise applications and Indian linguistic contexts. The move reinforces Zoho’s commitment to data privacy, contextual intelligence, and AI-powered efficiency, core pillars of its long-term AI strategy.

What’s New in Zoho’s AI Suite?

Alongside Zia LLM, the company introduced a range of AI-centric tools aimed at empowering developers and businesses:

Zia Agent Studio

A no-code/low-code AI agent builder, the Zia Agent Studio allows users to build intelligent agents with ease. It includes over 700 built-in actions and 25+ prebuilt agents, several of which are customized specifically for Indian business use cases.

This makes it easier for non-developers and enterprises to deploy AI agents that can automate workflows, answer customer queries, and streamline internal operations all without writing complex code.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

In a move to promote secure interoperability, Zoho has also launched the MCP server, which acts as a bridge between Zoho’s ecosystem and third-party agents. It ensures that external systems can access Zoho app functionalities while maintaining governance, security, and data integrity.

Privacy, Context, and Control at the Core

Zoho emphasized that its AI roadmap is built on the foundational belief that users must retain full ownership and control over their data. Unlike many global tech giants, Zoho’s approach to AI keeps user privacy at the forefront.

The integration of speech-to-text in Hindi and English is especially relevant for India’s diverse user base, enabling broader accessibility across regional markets and government-backed digital transformation goals.

With the global spotlight on generative AI and language models, Zoho’s in-house development of a multilingual LLM reflects India’s growing self-reliance in cutting-edge tech. By designing the model internally and leveraging NVIDIA’s advanced infrastructure, Zoho positions itself not just as a SaaS leader, but as a serious contender in the AI space.

As Indian enterprises seek to automate, personalize, and optimize their operations, tools like Zia LLM and Zia Agent Studio offer a native, secure, and highly customizable solution made in India, for India, and beyond.
