Bengaluru-based Gramiyaa, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand specialising in cold-pressed edible oils, has raised ₹18.65 crore in a Series A funding round led by new investor Optiscape Network Holdings. Existing investors Homegrown Ventures, Campus Fund and others also participated in the round.
The fresh capital comes as the startup expands its presence in India’s growing online grocery and consumer goods markets. Gramiyaa’s valuation has increased to ₹110 crore in the latest round, up approximately 49% from its ₹74 crore valuation during its pre-Series A funding round.
the company’s board allotted 32,968 Series A compulsorily convertible preference shares (CCPS) at ₹5,657 per share to raise the capital.
Optiscape Network Holdings led the investment with ₹9 crore, followed by Homegrown Ventures with ₹4.5 crore and Campus Fund with ₹4 crore. Sarya Global Holdings invested ₹90 lakh, while Rasagna Pulapaka contributed ₹25 lakh.
The company plans to use the proceeds as growth capital and for general corporate requirements.
Gramiyaa’s Previous Funding and Investor Backing
The latest investment follows Gramiyaa’s ₹7.2 crore pre-Series A funding round in March 2025, led by Homegrown Ventures, with participation from Campus Fund and Mumbai Angels.
With the Series A round, Optiscape Network Holdings has joined the company’s investor base, while existing investors have continued to back the business.
Following the latest share allotment, Homegrown Ventures remains Gramiyaa’s largest external shareholder, with a 17.34% stake. Campus Fund holds 9.86%, while Optiscape Network Holdings owns 8.28%.
The company’s co-founders also retain significant ownership. Sibi Manivannan holds a 26.04% stake, while Mohamed Yaseen and Naveenrajaman RL each hold 13.02%.
A Traditional Oil-Making Business With a Digital-First Distribution Strategy
Founded in 2016 by Sibi Manivannan, Gramiyaa manufactures cold-pressed oils using traditional oil-making methods. Its product portfolio includes groundnut, coconut, sesame and mustard oils, alongside virgin coconut oil and olive oil.
The company operates through its own website and has expanded its distribution across online marketplaces and quick-commerce platforms, including Amazon, Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket, DMart Ready and FirstClub.
Its distribution strategy gives the brand access to consumers through both conventional e-commerce and platforms focused on faster grocery delivery.
By combining in-house manufacturing with digital distribution, Gramiyaa operates in a consumer category where product quality, sourcing, convenience and brand positioning can influence purchasing decisions.
Revenue Grows 72.7%, but Losses Also Increase
Gramiyaa reported a significant increase in revenue during the financial year ended March 2025. According to the financial figures cited by Entrackr, the company’s revenue rose 72.7% year-on-year to ₹19 crore in FY25.
However, its losses also increased sharply, rising nearly 12.7 times to ₹4 crore during the same period.
The figures point to a business expanding its revenue base while continuing to face profitability challenges. Its ability to translate sales growth into sustainable margins will be an important factor as it deploys the fresh capital.
The company has yet to file its financial statements for FY26, leaving its latest annual revenue and profitability figures undisclosed.
What’s Next for Gramiyaa?
With ₹18.65 crore in fresh capital and a valuation of ₹110 crore, Gramiyaa has additional funding to support its next phase of growth. The company has stated that the proceeds will be used for growth capital and general corporate requirements.
Its next phase will be shaped by its ability to expand distribution, strengthen its consumer brand and improve financial performance as it scales.
For investors, the combination of strong revenue growth and rising losses makes Gramiyaa’s future growth and path to profitability key metrics to watch.
