AI interactive content company Flam has raised $40 million in its Series B funding round led by QED Investors. The round also saw participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan and Shah Rukh Khan, along with existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail.
Flam will use the fresh capital to expand R&D across its AI models, broaden its product suite and scale enterprise sales globally.
Founded in 2021 by Shourya Agarwal, Malhar Patil, and Amit Gaiki, Flam develops AI-powered interactive content for enterprises across use cases such as marketing, product visualisation, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support and sales. The company said it has onboarded more than 100 enterprise customers in the past six quarters, including Google, Reliance and Hyundai.
Flam currently holds more than 15 patents and offers three core formats. Its Flicks product enables interactive videos that can switch people, products or scenes during playback. The company said Flicks uses a patented compression algorithm and is delivered programmatically with a 50-millisecond time-to-first-buffer.
Its Forge editing model uses image references to modify specified elements, while Airboards provides high-fidelity 3D content through a camera interface with touch, voice and haptic interactions. Flam said its 3D streaming technology can load Airboards in 300 milliseconds without requiring users to install an app. Its Fable image-to-video model generates assets as native alpha-channel videos.
Flam is also developing Visual Agents, human-like characters designed to conduct conversations and take agentic actions. The technology combines Fantom for facial expression, identity preservation and motion transfer; Finesse for multilingual voice capabilities; and Falcon, a 26-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts large language model. The company said its pipeline can return an answer in under two seconds, with Falcon delivering a 30-millisecond time-to-first-token.
Headquartered in San Francisco, Flam has teams in India and Japan. The company said it has five AI models, more than 15 patents and over 100 enterprise customers globally.
